43 unknown, 1 known

I still find that time in nature in refreshing, but it is time in a cemetery--particularly an older one with ancient-feeling tombstones and towering trees--draws out any heaviness and anxiety weighing in that day. I walked through Greenwood, letting a new, or rather old, perspective seep into my worries. Loss. The brevity of life. Peace and calm. The mothers buried after their sons. The unknown soldiers. The butterfly dancing past. The faithful nurse honored by the children under her watch. The many eroded tributes to the loved. Stretches of warm sunlight on green grass. Fresh air. Today. Life. A chance to live longer, and to live as well as possible. A chance to be lighter, surrendering the unfounded anxiety. A new, or rather old, perspective.

Totally could relate to this post. We have a Xian cemetery here in Fes. It is a beautiful, quiet place to walk through in contemplation and meditation.
